Frullania ericoides (Nees) Mont.

Family: Frullaniaceae (formerly Jubulaceae)

Status: Native

Synonyms:
None

Frullania ericoides has stems with leaves that are densely appressed to the stem when dry, but widely squarrose when wet. In addition, trigones and cell walls are irregularly thickened, giving rise to a strangely wavy, jigsaw-puzzle piece appearance to the cells. Frullania ericoides is found on wood.
