Frullania neomexicana J.J. Atwood, Vilnet & Mamontov

Family: Frullaniaceae

Status: Native

Synonyms:
None

Frullania neomexicana has explanate lobules that are very small, shoehorn-shaped, and about 1/3 the width of the lobe. The underleaves are about the same size as the lobules. The underleaves are about the width of the stem, entire, and notched up to about 1/2 their length. The perianths are exserted up to 2/3 of their length and have a very obvious beak.

Many thanks to the Missouri Botanical Garden and John Atwood for all their help and loaning this specimen for photography.
