Fuligo septica (Linnaeus) Wiggers
The aethalia of Fuligo septica are distinctive and give rise to its common name "dog-vomit" slime mold. It can either be bright yellow, or white in which it has been called Fuliga candida, now considered a synonym of Fuligo septica. Fuligo septica is found anywhere there is moist rotting woody material on the ground. It is commonly found on wood chips.
