Geocalyx graveolens (Schrad.) Nees

Status: Native
Synonyms:
Jungermannia graveolens Schrad.
Calypogia graveolens (Schrad.) Dumort.
Geocalyx graveolens has bilobed leaves that are inserted longitudinally. It resembles a Lophozia
except for the large bilobed underleaves. G. graveolens is a common boreal species found in this unusual
habitat at El Malpais in New Mexico.
