Heliomeris longifolia var. longifolia has a yellow disc and yellow ray flowers. It is an annual with long slender leaves and the flowerheads sit on peduncles that are only 1-2 cm long. Heliomeris multiflora is a similar species that is perennial and its flowerheads are usually on much longer peduncles.
