Heterotheca villosa is found at the roadside at middle elevation. It has small leaves, the upper most of which are sessile. The herbage is pubescent, with the pubescence pustulate. The glands on the leaves are not stalked (stipitate.) The inflorescence has more than 20 rays and the rays and disc are both bright yellow.
