Synonyms:
Hedyotis pygmaea Roemer & Schultes

Houstonia wrightii is a small erect herb with slightly woody stems and linear leaves with needle tips. The flowers have an inferior ovary and four reflexed pink or white petals. Houstonia wrightii is found on Ponderosa Pine forest floors in middle elevation.
