Imbribryum gemmiparum (De Not.) J.R. Spence
Family: Bryaceae
Status: Native
Synonyms:
Bryum gemmiparum De Not.
Imbribryum gemmiparum has widely spaced leaves on a pinkish stem. There is no limbidium (border) although the lamina cells get gradually longer as they approach the leaf margin. The stems are not julaceous at all and are over 1 cm tall. They have a rather dainty texture. The margins are plane and the proximal leaf cells are short rectangular. Imbribryum gemmiparum is found at middle to upper elevation at the sides of seasonal streams. Thanks to Kelly Allred for confirming this ID (and mossing with me!)
