Imbribryum miniatum (Lesquereux) J.R. Spence
Family: Bryaceae
Status: Native
Synonyms:
Bryum miniatum Lesquereux
Imbribryum miniatum probably is not yet confirmed from New Mexico. There are several other Bryaceae
that are look-alikes, including Plagiobryoides species. Most herbarium specimens of I. miniatum in New Mexico are misidentified members of Plagiobryoides. According to FNA, none of the states that border New Mexico have I. miniatum. However, it may yet be found here. John Brinda was kind enough to send us this confirmed specimen of I. miniatum for comparison.
