Jungermannia leiantha Grolle

Family: Jungermanniaceae

Status: Native

Synonyms:
Liochlaena lanceolata Nees

Jungermannia leiantha has leaves which are succubus with an oblique insertion. The leaves are oblong with parallel sides. The cell walls are thin with small trigones. Jungermannia leiantha was found at Bead Spring before the Whitewater-Baldy Complex fire. The perianths look like cigars, or closed cylinders. Many thanks to Paul Davison for confirming this ID!
