Lescuraea saxicola is a small moss with leaves generally appressed to the stem. The leaves are acuminate at the apex and most are serrate. The medial laminal cells are over three times long as wide. Paraphyllia are scarce but usually present and foliate in form. Lescuraea saxicola is found on acidic rock at middle to upper elevation.
