Mesoptychia badensis is a minute liverwort occurring on rotting wood and in the case
of the specimen we photographed, growing with Buxbaumia! M. badensis is colorless.
It has two-lobed leaves with a relatively shallow sinus between the lobes. The cell walls
are thin.
