Muhlenbergia mundula I.M. Johnston
Muhlenbergia rigens is one of the tussock-forming species of Muhlenbergia,
the largest of the genera of the grasses in New Mexico. In Muhlenbergia rigens, the glumes are
most of the length of the floret and there are no awns. The panicles are very contracted and usually
only a few millimeters broad. The ligules are only 1-3mm also.
