Myosurus minimus is a small annual that has linear or oblanceolate leaves branched from the base. The flowering scapes are leafless. The individual flowers are nearly too small to see without magnification. The achenes are lacking the white cup at the base of the beak as is seen in M. cupulatus. Myosurus minimus grows in damp ground at middle elevation.
