Synonyms:
Lavauxia primiveris (Gray) Small

Oenothera primiveris is a lower elevation caespitose annual. The leaves are villous and oblanceolate. The petals are yellow. Oenothera primiveris is found in dry hills and at lower elevation. It blooms very early in the season.
