Pellaea ternifolia (Cavanilles) Link var. wrightiana (Hooker) Tryon
Pellaea wrightiana is similar to Pellaea truncata and the distinction can often be difficult. However, Pellaea wrightiana usually has no more than 3-5 sets of pinnules per pinna. The pinnule margins are quite distinctly rolled under to form false indusia. The sporangia line the entire margin of the undersurface of the pinnule.
Both are found in rocky areas and canyons were they can receive abundant sunshine.
