Phacelia caerulea Greene
(Blue Scorpionweed, Sky Blue Scorpionweed)

Family: Hydrophyllaceae

Status: Native

Synonyms:
Phacelia intermedia Wooton

Phacelia caerulea is our most common species in this genus. It has scorpioid cymes of light blue flowers with exserted stamens. It can be found in rocks or sandy soil. The further along in the season, the longer the cymes which are hairy and unpleasant to the touch though it does not break the skin.
