Hygrohypnum duriusculum (De Not.) D.W. Jamieson
Platyhypnum duriusculum has leaves that are nearly round (orbicular). The straight leaves have a differentiated alar
region. The apical cells are shorter than the cells at mid-lamina. The stem has no hyalodermis, just thick, small dark cells around the border. There is a stem central strand present.
