Pleurochaete squarrosa of New World reports
Pleurochaete luteola is quite a distinctive arid lowland moss. At the base there is an abrupt change from the medial cells to a lateral border of elongate smooth and clear marginal cells. The costa has two stereid bands. The perichaetia are lateral.
