Polygonum erectum is an upper elevation herb most notable for its slender vertically erect stems. The flowers, singly or in multiples in the leaf axils, are small and greenish white. The leaves are sessile and linear to obovate. Polygonum erectum is found in the understory of upper elevation mixed conifer forest.
