Pseudoleskeella rupestris (Bridel) Nyholm

Family: Pseudoleskeellaceae

Status: Native

Synonyms:
Leskea rupestris Berggren
Leskeella nervosa (Bridel) Loeske var. sibirica (Arnell) Brotherus
Pseudoleskeella sibirica (Arnell) P. Wilson & Norris

Pseudoleskeella rupestris lacks the brood branchlets possessed by Pseudoleskeella nervosa and has a single costa beyond midleaf unlike P. tectorum. It has an acuminate apex, no papillae, and leaves that are straight. This family and genus have been confusing for quite some time and will continue to be revised.

Many thanks to the University of Colorado Herbarium (COLO), Erin Tripp & Dina Clark for loaning this specimen for photography.
