Synonyms:
Pyrola virens Schweigger

Pyrola chlorantha has all basal greenish leaves that are not marked strongly with white as are those of Pyrola picta. It differs from Orthilia secunda in that cauline leaves are present and the inflorescence is not secund. Pyrola chlorantha has leaves that are almost round and are usually shorter than the petioles.
