(Bitter Dock)

Rumex obtusifolius is easily identified as a tall, stout Dock with long and broad leaves and valves that are irregularly toothed. It is an exotic growing in areas near standing water and sufficient moisture. Rumex pulcher is prostrate to ascending with smaller leaves, although the valves are also toothed. Rumex orthoneurus does not have toothed valves.
