Synonyms:
Salvia lancifolia sensu W&S

Salvia reflexa is a highly branched herb, larger than the similar Salvia subincisa. The corolla of Salvia reflexa does not protrude out from the calyx nearly as far as on Salvia subincisa. The flowers of Salvia reflexa are pale purple without striking white markings inside the corolla. The leaves of Salvia reflexa are more shallowly dentate and are larger than those of Salvia subincisa.
