Scapania undulata is a complicate bilobed leafy liverwort. In Scapania, the
smaller lobule is on top of the lobe. In most leafy liverworts, the smaller lobule is beneath
the ventral lobe. In Scapania undulata, the orbicular dorsal lobe is >0.65x the length of the ventral lobe. The ventral lobe is decurrent. Scapania undulata is found in wet places, often on rocks in streams.
