Grimmia sinensiapocarpum Müller Hal.
Schistidium sinensiapocarpum has long, hyaline awned leaves. There are long rectangular to linear cells in many rows from the base upwards medially, and 5-10 rows of much shorter cells nearer the margin in the lower part of the leaf. The awn is
coarsely toothed. The back of the costa, the upper margins, and even some of the upper laminal cells are irregularly papillose but not
as clearly as in S. papillosum. The upper margin is 2-4 stratose, and the lamina is bistratose in strips. The capsule is immersed and a peristome is present.
