Senecio wootonii is a rather small herb with a basal rosette of oblanceolate or spatulate leaves which are either entire or denticulate. The leaves are absent or very reduced on the scape which terminates in several flowerheads. The rays are yellow as is the disc. Seneicio wootonii grows at mid to upper elevations on hillsides and on the roadside.
