Synonyms:
Chaetochloa viridis (Linnaeus) Scribner
Setaria viridis is a perennial bristlegrass. It grows in lower elevation rocky areas.
The spikelets are over 2mm long. Setaria viridis has pubescent leaf sheaths in distinction with Setaria pumila.
