Synonyms:
Potamogeton pectinatus Linnaeus

Stuckenia pectinata grows in the same habitat as the Eudicot, Myriophyllum spicatum, but they are readily differentiated even when not in flower. Stuckenia pectinata does not have the whorled leaves or the thick stem.
