Status: Exotic, Class C (Widespread within the state)

Synonyms:
Tamarix pentandra Pallas, nom. illeg.
Tamarix ramosissima Ledebour

Tamarix chinensis is found along streams throughout middle elevations in the Gila National Forest. It is considered an invasive exotic and has been the object of an eradication effort.
