Torilis arvensis is an exotic, annual herb. It has ovoid fruit with barbellate prickles that make the ridges difficult to see. It grows to about a meter high and has once to three times pinnately compound leaves. Torilis arvensis has apparently established itself widely as a weed in the United States, but it is not yet common in the Gila National Forest.
