Status: Native
Synonyms:
Barbula brevipes Lesq.
Tortula brevipes has exserted sporophytes and leaves that are not bordered but that
are densely papillose. The leaves are awned. The capsule is long cylindric, with a long
operculum and long peristome teeth (filaments).
