WNMU Continues Internationalization Efforts With Two New Agreements
Western New Mexico University continues its rapid pace of internationalization, reaching out to university partners in Mexico and forming agreements of understanding with two institutions during the month of June. WNMU officials visited the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL) earlier in the month to create a letter of intent between the two universities. The letter of intent details the intention of collaboration and the possibilities of faculty and student exchanges. “UANL is a perfect school to collaborate with because of WNMU’s goal to expand learning opportunities across the border,” said Dr. Miguel Narvaez, WNMU professor of kinesiology. “Our specific collaboration with the UANL sports organization will open possibilities for exchanges from both our institutions.” The agreement details several goals including curriculum mobility, dual degree programs and sports collaborations to include hosting coaching clinics.
