Parallel events on the Silver City and Deming campuses, the WNMU National Poetry Month Celebration will be on Tuesday, April 12, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Organized by WNMU J. Cloyd Miller Library, WNMU Humanities Department, Mimbres Press of WNMU, and WNMU-Deming, the event will be held in J. Cloyd Miller Library on the main campus.
Featuring Silver City Poet Laureate and WNMU student Allison Waterman, WNMU Provost and author Dr. Jack Crocker and New Mexico Book Association Vice President Miguel De La Cruz, the event includes readings by professor Heather Frankland’s English 99 class, Aldo Leopold Charter School students & the WNMU Undergraduate Writing Contest Winners for Poetry, Prose and Plays.
