WNMU Museum Director Danielle Romero will discuss the history of Mimbreno pottery and its cultural connotations to Southwest New Mexico as part of the Silver City Museum’s series of Community Conversations at the Silco Theater.

Romero’s “The Meaning of Things” talk will be on Saturday, June 18, at 11 a.m. and will be followed with group dialog about how objects can be expressions of cultural identity. Attendees are encouraged to bring objects of personal relevance and share the stories around them.
