Caprifoliaceae
(Honeysuckle Family)

The Caprifoliaceae have opposite leaves and an inferior ovary. Our most common genera are Lonicera, Valeriana and Sambucus. They prefer canyons and require too much moisture to be found exposed. The Caprifoliaceae were recently merged with the Valerianaceae.

Dipsacus fullonum (Teasel)

Lonicera arizonica (Arizona Honeysuckle)
Lonicera utahensis (Rocky Mountain Honeysuckle)
