Nancy Kailing Memorial Scholarship Benefit Dance

Caveman couture and pet dinosaurs will rock the Old Elks Lodge on Saturday, April 7, at The Neanderthal Ball, the 7th annual PFLAG Silver City scholarship benefit dance, 7:30 to 11 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Nancy Kailing Memorial Scholarship at Western New Mexico University. Tickets are $10 per person or $5 for WNMU students with a current, valid ID. Tickets will be sold at the door, and advance tickets are available at Vintage Fantasies and Shevek’s Casuals downtown. This prehistoric evening features music by Mr. Anderson; beer, wine and snack sales by Vicki’s Eatery; a raffle; and a costume contest with prizes. Superb showman Ward Rudick will serve as emcee.
