Spring Break Pack Trip and Wilderness Trail Work

Join the WNMU Outdoor Program and the Gila Backcountry Horsemen on this service-oriented, spring break trip. Participants will engage in four days of wilderness work to repair trails in the Gila that are in desperate need of attention following severe forest fires. At night, enjoy great conversation and camp food cooked in a Dutch oven. This is a horse-assisted trip, meaning the horses will carry most of your gear and you will hike in on foot. Open to faculty, staff, and students, this is an experience you don’t want to miss. Show your pride and do some good in your own back yard. Registration opens late January. For more info, call 575-538-6253 or email Kathy.Whiteman@wnmu.edu. Get details about this and other WNMU Outdoor Program trips here. Register for the Spring Break Pack Trip...
