Rosaceae (Rose Family)
The Rosaceae are a diverse group of plants from small herbs to trees. They have 5 petals and sepals joined into a structure called a "hypanthium." There are many stamens. Rosaceae usually have oval to ellipic leaves with small teeth, and they usually have stipules. Ranunculaceae have neither a hypanthium nor stipules.
