WNMU Volunteer Income Tax Assistance
The WNMU School of Business is providing free tax services (VITA) for the community in Light Hall, room 124. Services are available to families and individuals with an annual household income of $60,000 or less, and for those who are 65 years or older. Services will be offered on a walk-in basis only on Mondays and Tuesdays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Bring your: Photo ID (Driver’s license or other State ID) Social Security card/number. Summit Sunday: Eighty Mountain
Registration opens February 1st and is limited to 10 participants. Eighty Mountain sits at an elevation of 7,438 feet. The route is out and back and roughly 4.5 miles with 1,000 feet of elevation gain. The trail ascends the north face of the mountain and thus may still have light snow and ice. Wear appropriate attire and footwear for this experience. -Hiking boot or study shoe with and solid sole that can grip on loose uneven wet terrain -Layers: base layers should be wicking (not cotton ideally), then an insulated layer (fleece or puffy) and shell layer that can block wind/rain -Backpack -Minimum 1 liter of water -Snacks you may want -Appropriate health items (epi pens, inhalers, medications) -Sunglasses and sunscreen -Other items that you choose to bring for your enjoyment (no guns, drugs, alcohol, Bluetooth speakers, etc) -PMA (positive mental attitude) COST: Free to Students and Faculty Pre-trip Meeting (required): Sunday, February 12th at 9:25 p.m. in...
