Western New Mexico University is hosting a Basic Economic Development course on campus.
Focusing on core essentials for organizing, planning, and managing economic-growth initiatives, the course serves as the first step toward earning the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) credential. Participants will apply these concepts through simulated case studies that replicate real-world community challenges.

Designed for local leaders, this intensive one-week course focuses on selecting cost-effective strategies to drive job creation in New Mexican communities. The training is open to municipal and county managers, department directors, tribal leaders, community planners, developers, and anyone dedicated to boosting regional employment.
