Barnard Hall is a classroom and office building near the center of the WNMU campus, between the Student Memorial Center and Light Hall. It is also home to the Outdoor Center, the base for WNMU Outdoor Programs.
The Outdoor Center coordinates the university’s outdoor recreation offerings — guided trips, climbing sessions at the CREC rock climbing wall, and campus social events such as campfire hangouts and outdoor games. It also administers WNMU’s Wilderness Medicine Courses, a series of certification trainings open to students, outdoor professionals and the general public.
Set in the foothills of the Gila National Forest, the campus puts hiking, climbing and backcountry terrain within easy reach. Barnard Hall’s classrooms continue to host courses and meetings throughout the academic year.
