Light Hall was built in 1928 as the university’s library and auditorium. Designed in the Renaissance Revival style by Trost & Trost and named for C. M. Light, WNMU’s president from 1896 to 1915, the building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Today it houses classrooms, offices and the renovated Light Hall Theater, a film and performance venue for the campus and the Silver City community.
